Two projects, one new and one old.

 First to the new.  As our gaming group has started playing old west games again I have decided to do some terrain that will fit into the genera.  Starting off with the vegetation.  I am originally from Southern Arizona so I know that there is actually quite a bit in the area.  My first offering is cactus.  It is a mix of Pegasus kits, plastic plants and scratch built.  There is a bit too much blue agave and too few ocotillo but I do like how they came out.  The ocotillo were scratch built and a bit of a pain so I do not know if I am going to do many more.  

They just need to grass tufts but I am waiting for them to come in the mail. 

The old project is my modular dungeon.  I have finally finished the tiles.  Now they just need a bit of dry-brushing and washes to even out the tones between the group.

 Finished them up.  Darkened the rotting flesh and used lower vegetation as the tall stuff did not look quite right.

The forest of sorrow.

 I have been working on some 3d printed impaled victims.  They still need ground work and a bit more paint but I am happy so far with how they are turning out.  I had the fifteen victims printed twice and spread them among ten bases with skewers to flesh out the posts.

A couple of views with them bunched together.  

 

And with some terrain.  They will never really be more than background scenery but they will help set the scene.

 I was looking for a shaman to do a vignette base, reading bones with and I had a pose in mind.  Unfortunately no one makes one even close so I tried out Heroforge.   This is what I came up with.  The skin is Green stuff, some bits added including the sacrificed squirrel becasue it is a squirrel.

A new project with some printed miniatures.

I purchased some files for impaled victims from Printable Scenery.  Before I sent them off and paid to have them printed I wanted to see how they would turn out.  A friend of mine from the club has a resin printer and offered to print two.  The details are great and I was quite happy with them.  I based them up for a test piece with some bamboo skewers and slapped some paint on.  Painted with zenith primed models and multiple washes to build up the skin tones. 

BSC2023 final

This is my completed enter for BSC 2023.  Competition was tough this year and I did not make it out of the first heat.  Not complaining in the least as all of the entries were outstanding.  The submission was one photo of a particular size.  This was mine.
