Mari Lwyd

Mari Lwyd always fascinated me and as I have no other projects at the moment and I had a spare 28mm horse skull in my bits box, I decided to try to sculpt one.  I am by no means a sculptor but here are my efforts at pushing putty around.  Done in Bees Putty with some green stuff.

Hope you like.

Fantasy fishmonger 2

I think I have finished up the interior bits and can now start on the building itself.

First at the suggestion of another member of LAF  I have lightened up the fish a bit.

Here are the new bits

The smoker with the door and some white striations on the bits of fish.

Next are some miscellaneous shelves.

Then a bucket and the fishmonger sign for over the door.

Here is a closeup of the bucket.

Hope you like.

Models from December and the start of a new project.

Here is my complete painting output from December.   Sorry for the lighting.

First all three swarms of 3d printed bats glued together in swarms.

Next is a Sir Robin's baggage carrier.  I will use him as a Mule in Frostgrave.

Next is a Giant Scorpion from Crooked Dice.

Lastly are some Crooked Dice Stirges.  They are smaller than the ones from Otherworld so I based three to a base rather than two.

Next is the start of a new project.  Starting with the interior elements.

This is a salmon smoker.  I still have to fit the doors.

Next with a flash.

A gutting table and bookcase.

The display

Then some hanging fish.

Lastly some bits of clutter.

Two projects, one new and one old.

First to the new.  As our gaming group has started playing old west games again I have decided to do some terrain that will fit into the genera.  Starting off with the vegetation.  I am originally from Southern Arizona so I know that there is actually quite a bit in the area.  My first offering is cactus.  It is a mix of Pegasus kits, plastic plants and scratch built.  There is a bit too much blue agave and too few ocotillo but I do like how they came out.  The ocotillo were scratch built and a bit of a pain so I do not know if I am going to do many more.

They just need to grass tufts but I am waiting for them to come in the mail.

The old project is my modular dungeon.  I have finally finished the tiles.  Now they just need a bit of dry-brushing and washes to even out the tones between the group.

The forest of sorrow.

I have been working on some 3d printed impaled victims.  They still need ground work and a bit more paint but I am happy so far with how they are turning out.  I had the fifteen victims printed twice and spread them among ten bases with skewers to flesh out the posts.

A couple of views with them bunched together.

And with some terrain.  They will never really be more than background scenery but they will help set the scene.

Heroforged a figure

I was looking for a shaman to do a vignette base, reading bones with and I had a pose in mind.  Unfortunately no one makes one even close so I tried out Heroforge.   This is what I came up with.  The skin is Green stuff, some bits added including the sacrificed squirrel becasue it is a squirrel.

Hope you like.
