Two projects, one new and one old.

First to the new.  As our gaming group has started playing old west games again I have decided to do some terrain that will fit into the genera.  Starting off with the vegetation.  I am originally from Southern Arizona so I know that there is actually quite a bit in the area.  My first offering is cactus.  It is a mix of Pegasus kits, plastic plants and scratch built.  There is a bit too much blue agave and too few ocotillo but I do like how they came out.  The ocotillo were scratch built and a bit of a pain so I do not know if I am going to do many more.

They just need to grass tufts but I am waiting for them to come in the mail.

The old project is my modular dungeon.  I have finally finished the tiles.  Now they just need a bit of dry-brushing and washes to even out the tones between the group.

Counters for a fist full of lead

Finished up some counters for a fist full of lead.  As I wanted them for my vaqueros I used sombreros as a base.  Started off with four sombreros from Sally Fourth games.  They came with heads attached so I removed those.  The rest of the details are some Rogue Trader era plastic space marine knives, some 3d printed bottles a skull off the plastic wizards sprue from Northstar  and some green stuff shells from a Green Stuff World mold.   Here are the finished counters mounted on bases.

From left to right.  one wound, out of ammo, stunned and two wounds.

Then I used instamold to make a press mold of each piece.  I also cut two vents in the sides as I wanted a metal base on the bottom of the green stuff.

These were then cast four times.

And painted.

Top to bottom, out of ammo, stunned, one wound and two wounds.

Hope you like.

Vaqueros

We have a couple of players for Fist Full of Lead and Dead Mans Hand at my local club and I can say both games are a hoot.  I decided to paint my own crew.  Most of what everyone else is fielding is either generic cowboys, lawmen, Cavalry or Apaches.  I grew up on the Mexican border so Vaqueros and mariachis were a regular sight at Rodeos so I figured it was a good fit.  Black Scorpion Minatures had the best models and selection so I picked up thirteen.  If I want to do Curse of Dead Mans Hand I know where to find a Catrina and will only have to look for a La Llorona.  Here are the first three.  Pained with only thinned down washes in layers to build up the color.  Hope you like.
