Its a Giant

For years I loved the Otherworld Miniatures Giant as he had a lot of character.  The molds were sold on and it is now produced by Crooked Dice.  I finally pulled the trigger and picked one up.  I knew that with this model there would be some small issues.  First and foremost is with how the right hand attaches.  It is a straight cut that would crack easily.  I don't see how they could have done it any other way but it is a weak point.  You can clearly see it on the photo from their studio model.  It looks like they had to do a repair during the shoot.

I decided to tackle it by notching the fault-line on both sides, filling the cracks with putty and then sanding smooth.  Hopefully the notching will give the putty more surface area to adhere to and stop cracks from following the natural fault-line.

Here is where I have stopped so far on the whole model.

There is also a pretty big crack on the back of his trousers.  Since this one is not such a small connection I filled it normally and sanded smooth.

I still have some cleanup to do and have not decided what accessories I want added to his belt.
