Statuesque Miniatures Deck Department

I needed some ground crew for my growing spaceport.  Found the Statuesque Miniatures Deck Department and they fit the bill. Very clean casts with real character and a joy to paint.
Here are a couple of shots with one of the ships.

Three more old GW minis from the eighties.  First is another ogre.

Then a Chaos Minotaur.

Lastly my favourite.  This is an AD&D Minotaur from when GW had the contract.

Since the lockdown, even though I have been working I have also been painting.  As we have not been going out I have had more time.  This is the painting that I have done so far that is not terrain.  I will try to identify these from memory.

Spider nests

Just some spiders nests.  Not my technique.  That belongs to abarothsworld.com.
Just a base with an air drying clay lump on top.  Poked a hole into the lump, textured and painted.

Another temple

This project started with a few pieces in my bits box.  Three real old pillars from Confrontation, the bones figure in the centre and my last plate of bones from Green Stuff World.  The pillars were never used as they are an odd height.  They ended up being too short for most things and sat in the box for years.

I started but cutting pillars of dowelling to the same height and adding solder details to them.  The floors are all textured foamex.  The bone plate  for the charnel pit was cut to size and then edged with sand set in place with superglue.  Letters are again from Green Stuff World. Finally the Reaper Bones statue and chair were glued in place.

Painted in a variety of acrylics and inks.
