Shuttle Alpha 9

Pretty much finished up.  First stage was paint chipping.

Next up came the powders and finished sanding the windsheild.

The last paint and decals prior to weathering, oils and powers is done.  Hope you like.

I will wet sand the wind shield again with the 2500 grit and paint it one more time with Pledge Multi-Surface Polish.  For those in the States read Future floor Polish.  It is an old scale modeller trick that helps the sanded resin and plastic look clear again. 

Shuttle Alpha 7

H have been working on both the interior and exterior.  For the interior I decided to do the same thing that I did with the exterior and work outside of my comfort zone.

Alpha Shuttle 4

Base coat and masking done on the bottom.  It will need touch ups on the white then landing gear bays and thrusters. 

Alpha Shuttle 3

Test painting the engine bells and nacelles.  Mostly I was testing the the model masking tape that I used.  I will have to pick up some more white paint for touch ups.   The pot that I have on hand does not colour match my base paint.

  The plan is to paint on some chipping of the paints then several treatments of oils and powders.  It will all have to wait until the exterior base painting is complete.
