Zombies

Zombie movies have always freaked me out in a major way.  All other movies in the horror genera don't bother me at all.  But the concept of the mindless dead eating the living has always scarred the crap out of me.  Even in black and white.

I have been playing fantasy and sci-fi games since 1986 and this year I decided to do something a bit different.  I wanted to create a stand alone game for conventions that I could host.  I wanted it to be in a genera that I do not normally work in, and I settled on modern zombies.  Saying that, I usually find painting miniatures fairly tedious.  I have never fielded a unpainted army, but I burn out quickly painting.  Especially if I have a backlog on the painting table.  Building and painting terrain has always been my passion.  Terrain started out just for me, then for other, and then for local game stores.

I did quite a bit of research on modern zombie manufactures and games in 28mm finding several that I liked.  I did a test batch of plastics, to work out a color scheme.  They are from Games Workshop and War Games factory.  While I was not impressed with the quality of either, I did develop a paint scheme that I liked, and could mass produce without burning me out in the process.  This project started July 2010.

Snitchy sends.
