Most of the work is done. Here are the step by step for those anyone interested.

Pollyfilla for the top.

Sand

Prime and sand.

Red Brown highlight

Dark Grey highlight on rocks.

Khaki Highlight over all surfaces

Ink filters on the rock

Khaki highlights again.
